What is Acupuncture & East Asian Medicine?

Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine (EAM) combines centuries-old healing practices with a modern, individualized approach to care.

Using thin, sterile needles placed at specific points, acupuncture can help reduce pain, support recovery, improve function, and promote overall well-being.

At Anchor Point, your care begins with a comprehensive assessment of your health history, symptoms, medications, and goals. Tiffany, L.Ac., then creates a personalized treatment plan designed around you.

AVAILABLE TREATMENTS

Dry Needling & Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy

Dry needling targets tight, sensitive areas within muscles known as trigger points that may contribute to pain, tension, and restricted movement. When appropriate, this technique may be incorporated into your acupuncture treatment to reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and support injury recovery.

Moxibustion (Moxa) is a traditional heat therapy using dried Chinese mugwort held near the skin to gently warm specific acupuncture points. It may be used to support circulation, relieve pain and stiffness, aid digestion, and promote overall wellness.

Gua Sha is a soft-tissue mobilization technique that uses a smooth therapeutic tool to apply controlled pressure and strokes over targeted areas. It may help increase local circulation, reduce muscle tension and soreness, and improve mobility and recovery.

Herbal formulas, liniments, patches, and topical oils may be incorporated into your individualized treatment plan to support symptom management, recovery, and overall health. Products are selected from manufacturers that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and are recommended based on your health history, medications, and treatment goals.

Cupping is a myofascial therapy that uses controlled suction over targeted areas of the body. It may help increase local circulation, reduce muscle tension and soreness, improve mobility, and support recovery. Cupping is commonly incorporated into treatment for musculoskeletal pain and tension.

Electroacupuncture applies a controlled, low-level electrical current to acupuncture needles to provide targeted stimulation. It may be incorporated into treatment to help manage pain, stimulate neuromuscular function, and support recovery, particularly for chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions.
